Mercedes just teased us with a new picture of its Project One hypercar

It’s now only a couple of days until this year’s Frankfurt Engine Show – and the debut of Mercedes Benz’ much-anticipated Task One hypercar, the very first time anyone has put a Method One powertrain in a road-legal vehicle.

Frankfurt – There is certainly lots to anticipate from Mercedes-Benz at the Frankfurt engine show, including 3 world premieres.

The stream starts with media night on September 11 at 5.30pm, the automaker will reveal its AMG Hypercar called the Task One.

Merc says: “Using the Task One the sports vehicle and performance brand is celebrating the highlight of its 50th anniversary. This hypercar with Formulation 1 hybrid drive technology factors the best way to AMG’s “Future of Traveling Performance”.

Furthermore, Mercedes will also premiere three models to the world: fully electric idea EQA, the GLC F CELL EQ Power and a fresh, electrically run smart vision EQ fortwo.

Today the business provided another teaser of the automobile, displaying it being loaded into a transporter before this week’s motoring world knees-up.

Project One, intended to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mercedes’ high-performance equip Mercedes-AMG, is its most “ambitious task” ever, today it said.

A Formula is used by the road-legal hypercar One hybrid engine and an electrified front axle to create over 1,000 horsepower and a high speed of over 350 km each hour (217mph). The business has previously exposed the automobile includes a 1.6-litre turbo V6, which can rise to 11,000 rpm.

Car Communicate has reported most Task One vehicles have been allocated, while Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers called it “the most efficient hypercar you can get.” The effect is “a remarkable mixture of performance and efficiency.”
